Mō te Tūranga | About the Role This role can be based in Wellington or Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Build, operate, and improve Kubernetes platforms across AWS and Azure. Automate platform operations, provisioning, patching, and compliance activities. Solve complex platform, reliability, and performance challenges. Partner with engineering teams to improve platform adoption and self-service capabilities. Work with the team to create platform standards, documentation, and engineering guidance. Help drive improvements in security, reliability, automation, and developer experience. What is the team culture and environment like? Kubernetes administration and operations Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) Container technologies (Docker, OCI containers) Infrastructure as Code CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation GitOps concepts and tooling (Helm, Kustomize) Scripting and automation (Bash, Go, or similar) Observability and monitoring platforms Networking, security, and platform troubleshooting skills Linux and Vmware virtualization concepts What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
