Procurement Specialist Fixed Term

As the Procurement Specialist (Fixed Term)you will play a key role in driving procurement excellence across the Yili Oceania business. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop category management plans, and support the organisation in implementing robust procurement frameworks, processes, and governance that deliver value, visibility, and sustainable outcomes. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager Capex & Indirect, you will partner closely with stakeholders across Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Quality, and other business functions to deliver effective procurement solutions that support organisational goals. This is a varied and influential role where you'll lead end-to-end sourcing activities, develop procurement strategies, drive supplier relationship management initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement across procurement practices. You'll also help embed best-practice procurement processes, provide commercial insights through spend analysis and reporting, and support the business in making informed procurement decisions. A bit about you You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering value through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships. You have proven experience working in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or a similar role, and enjoy building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers alike. You bring excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, coupled with a practical and analytical approach to problem-solving. You're comfortable navigating complex sourcing activities, analysing spend data, managing competing priorities, and driving positive outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll have experience within a manufacturing, food, dairy, or FMCG environment and hold a qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline. Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS would be advantageous. Most importantly, you're collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, bringing a customer-focused mindset and a desire to help the business achieve sustainable procurement outcomes.
