Roading and Building Recruitment – Wigram, South Island THE GIG: RB Recruitment is looking for an experienced steel fixer to join one of the largest Reinforcement/Fabrication companies in the Christchurch region. They are looking for multiple positions to assist with the influx of work for residential and commercial builds. The role will be based in a warehouse setting working within a team. The hours you will be working are guaranteed and ongoing, with no chance of getting rained off. What a day would look like at work - As an experienced steel fixer, day to day duties will look like this. You will be positioning and securing rebar to precise measurements. Physical fitness is crucial as you will be bending and cutting steel reinforcement materials. You will be tying steel and fastening steel bars using wire and clamps. You will be reading different plans and specifications. Anywhere from walls, piles, beams and culverts. WHAT YOU NEED We are looking for someone willing to just dig in and get the job done with the following Current driver's license with own transport to commute to sites Multiple years of steel fixing experience, ideally in diaphragm walls, bridge piles, beams, walls and Culverts. Physically fit and able to fabricate, install and fix in a team-based setting. Applicants for this position must: Have a current and valid NZ work visa or NZ residency.
