Waste Management and Minimisation Officer Carterton DistrictCouncil is seeking a dedicated Waste Management and Minimisation Officer to join our Infrastructure Team. Our council supports the residents, businessand ratepayers who call Carterton home, and in this role, you’ll be workingalongside our community in fostering sustainable waste management initiativesthat protect our environment and manage solid waste. About the Role | Mōte tūranga In this role, you’llbe: Supportingthe Wellington Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) and LocalAction Plan (LAP) Overseeingsolid waste facilities and service providers Collecting,managing, and reporting on waste data in line with national standards Collaboratingwith internal and external stakeholders to enhance waste managementpractices. About You | Ko waikoe Our ideal candidatewill likely have: Relevantqualifications or experience in waste minimisation or solid wastemanagement Strongstakeholder management and communication skills Projectmanagement and data reporting experience Acommitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. Candidates must bephysically capable of performing the essential duties of the role, includingoverseeing waste facilities and participating in hands-on activities related towaste management from time to time.
