Korowai Manaaki is one of five Youth Justice residences across Aotearoa New Zealand run by Oranga Tamariki - Ministry for Children. Located in South Auckland , Korowai Manaaki provides a safe, secure and supportive environment where rangatahi (young people) who have offended can make changes and get their lives back on track. We provide 24/7 support and care for up to rangatahi aged 13 to 18 years old who are involved in the Youth Justice system and we understand that the causes of offending are complex, and that successfully dealing with young offenders demands action beyond simple punitive measures. Mō te tūnga | About the role The Quality Lead is an integral part of our residence team, responsible for ensuring the residence meets internal and external regulatory expectations, is continuously improving its practice, and delivers safe, consistent, high-quality services for rangatahi and whānau. You will be the central point for monitoring and improving our practice frameworks, care standards, and service delivery expectations. Your work will directly influence the experience of rangatahi in our care and ensure that the voice of tamariki and rangatahi is captured and used to shape decision-making. Key requirements of the role include: A comprehensive understanding of residence compliance and quality assurance practice Confidence in analysing information, identifying risks, reporting and process improvement A tertiary qualification and/or relevant compliance management experience Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills A practical background in process planning for efficient service delivery and health & safety Strong evidence of ability to commit to the vision, mission, and goals of Oranga Tamariki Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, knowledge of tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi, and how these help us be more responsive to support tamariki, whānau and families If you are interested in any of our vacancies, please ensure you make yourself familiar with our code of conduct as it sets out our expectations for our kaimahi and requires you to present at work free from the influences of both drugs and alcohol. #J-18808-Ljbffr
