Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care About the Role We have an opportunity available to join our regional Te Manawa Taki team based in Taranaki as a Registered Nurse – Communicable Diseases. This part-time (0.6FTE), permanent role will see you provide nursing input to the Compliance and Health Protection Team based in Taranaki to manage communicable diseases, including case and contact management, outbreak investigation, control and support prevention. This opportunity will allow you to lead or support upstream health promotion and disease prevention initiatives that enable individuals, whānau and communities to protect themselves from the impact of communicable diseases, with a particular focus on Pae Ora and achieving equity of access, treatment and outcomes. About you You have proven experience as a Registered Nurse and are able to use your nursing knowledge and judgement to apply whānau-centred, holistic, innovative nursing care to meet the needs of patients, whānau and communities. You are also able to participate in education, quality assurance, and policy development.
