Fixed-term position available Term-Time Only 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday) About the Role Sommerville School is a specialist school supporting more than 380 neurodiverse learners aged 5–21 years. Our services include our base school in Panmure, satellite classrooms across 15 mainstream schools, and a community programme for young adults aged 18–21 years in Highland Park. Our 300+ team of educators, therapists, specialists and teacher aides work together in a multi-disciplinary approach to meet the individual needs of every learner, with personalised learning programmes. About You We're looking for people who are: Empathetic and patient Calm, positive, and encouraging Good listeners and communicators Willing to learn new skills and approaches A full New Zealand driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle are strongly preferred. The terms and conditions, including the base salary, for this position are set by the Support Staff in Schools' Collective Agreement (SSSCA). The current base pay rate for Grade B–C Teacher Aides start at $27.25 per hour. Remuneration will be determined in accordance with the relevant collective agreement, based on your qualifications and experience.
