Free Parking at site He angitūtanga / The Opportunity We are looking for an energetic and passionate Chef to join our Medirest team at Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch on a full‑time, permanent basis. Roster: Weekdays – Monday to Friday, 11:30 – 20:00 In this role, you will be responsible for: Cooking, baking, preparing and serving high‑quality meals that meet dietitian specifications Ensuring every dish served meets our high standards of taste, presentation and nutrition Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised kitchen Providing friendly, helpful and professional service to patients, clients and colleagues He kōrero mōu / About You If you're our ideal candidate: You are hardworking, professionally presented and have a friendly, positive, “can‑do” attitude You bring at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, with strong skills in high‑quality food production and baking You’ve worked with bulk cooking and understand the requirements of a hospital or healthcare environment You ideally hold Food Safety Certificates (Unit Standards 167 & 168) You can work confidently and independently while maintaining high standards Most importantly, you have a genuine passion for great food, quality, and exceptional service Ngā painga / Benefits & Perks Competitive remuneration (top of market hourly rate!)
