The Christchurch After Hours Veterinary Clinic is looking for experienced veterinary nurses to join our team . We are an emergency veterinary facility supporting more than 45 shareholder clinics across the Christchurch and Canterbury region . The clinic is open week nights , weekends, and public holidays, providing emergency and critical care for pets throughout Canterbury . We work from a purpose built fully equipped clinic . The role This role includes all aspects of veterinary nursing, including patient triage, nurse consults, IV catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring . We are looking for someone who is caring, confident, enthusiastic, and a great team player. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a busy environment, able to multitask, and remain calm under pressure when emotions may be high. This role includes weekend, overnight, and public holiday shifts. About you Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and/or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, or equivalent Availability for weekends, overnights, and public holidays A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care Experience monitoring critical patients Knowledge of Vision, SmartFlow , and Idexx lab machines is advantageous Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
