Project Manager

Safe, well planned, commercially disciplined and delivered to a consistently high standard. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Christchurch team. The opportunity This is a role for someone who wants to own their projects from start to finish. You'll lead civil infrastructure projects typically valued between $5 million and $15 million , with projects ranging from approximately $2 million to $40 million . You'll be responsible for every aspect of delivery, including safety, programme, commercial performance, quality and client relationships. You'll spend time where it matters most, on site, working alongside your team, building relationships with clients and making decisions that keep projects moving. Success in this role isn't measured by how busy you are. It's measured by predictable delivery, strong commercial outcomes and projects that are always under control. What we're looking for You'll have proven experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects within New Zealand. Experience across water, wastewater, pipelines, treatment facilities, structures or marine infrastructure will be highly regarded. You'll bring: Strong technical capability and sound engineering judgement Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, cost control, variations and subcontract management Experience delivering projects under NZS3910 and/or NZS3916 contracts The ability to lead Engineers, Supervisors and site teams to achieve outstanding results A proactive approach to planning, risk management and problem solving Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: Water or wastewater treatment plants Water, wastewater or stormwater infrastructure Large diameter pipelines and pressure mains Piling Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Pipe lining or trenchless construction Complex reinforced concrete structures About you You're technically credible and commercially astute. You enjoy understanding the detail, but never lose sight of the bigger picture. You communicate early, make decisions confidently and build trust with your team and your clients. You're someone who leads by example, sets high standards and believes problems are there to be solved, not managed around.
