About the Role If you enjoy being at the frontline of mental healthcare delivery, then this is the role for you. While it is a fast paced, demanding environment, you will have the opportunity to excel in serving a community in need, making a real difference to tangata whai ora’s experience in their mental health journey, while also learning up to date legislative processes. The role will also expose you to a multidisciplinary team environment, with various disciplines, such as psychiatry, social work, and nursing, working alongside you day to day. The role also requires you to help prepare documents for Court Hearings, working alongside lawyers, court staff and District Inspectors. The salary range for this role is $73,476 - $81,164, depending on experience. About the Team / Service / Location Te Whare Ahuru is a 24-hour mental health assessment and treatment acute inpatient service for adults aged from 18 years. The service is located at the Hutt Valley Hospital. About you We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and skilled administrator who can multitask. Previous experience maintaining Mental Health Act processes is ideal, but not essential. You will need to be organised, adaptable and have strong communication skills. Be able to work autonomously as well as fitting into team dynamics. Be able to work under pressure. Be able to maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. A friendly disposition and willingness to learn are essential.
