Senior Project Manager

Lead the delivery of one of New Zealand's largest renewable energy projects. With a growing portfolio of projects across Australia and New Zealand, we are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark utility-scale solar project in the Auckland region. This role can be based in Auckland requiring regular travel to site to maintain a visible leadership presence, build strong client relationships, and support successful project delivery. Working closely with the site-based delivery team and INTEC's Christchurch-based corporate project team, you will provide overall leadership across the project, ensuring seamless collaboration between construction, engineering, commercial, procurement and project controls functions to achieve outstanding project outcomes. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced EPC Project Manager who enjoys leading from the front, building trusted client partnerships and delivering complex infrastructure projects safely, commercially and successfully. Key Accountabilities Take overall responsibility for the safe, commercial and successful delivery of a major utility-scale solar project, ensuring programme, budget, quality and contractual objectives are achieved. Provide leadership and direction to both the site-based project team and the Christchurch corporate support team, fostering collaboration, accountability and high performance across all project functions. Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong relationships through both on-site engagement and corporate governance while ensuring clear communication with executive leadership and key stakeholders. Oversee subcontractor performance, project controls, risk management, forecasting, change management and commercial outcomes to maximise project success. Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, HSEQ requirements, regulatory standards and INTEC's project governance framework. About You Extensive experience leading the delivery of large-scale EPC infrastructure projects, with experience in utility-scale Solar PV projects. Battery Energy Storage (BESS) experience will be highly regarded. A proven track record of successfully managing complex, high-value construction projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering outstanding commercial and client outcomes. Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence, mentor and align both site-based and corporate project teams while building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Excellent commercial and contractual acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, subcontractors, project risk and change within an EPC environment. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, together with excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
