We are seeking a highly organised and proactive PersonalAssistant to provide executive support to the General Manager of Surgical,Perioperative & Radiology Services based at Christchurch Hospital. This is a pivotal role that requires someone who cananticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and ensure the General Manager'soffice operates smoothly and efficiently. About the Role As the Personal Assistant, you will play a critical role insupporting the General Manager to achieve strategic and operational objectives.You will act as the central point of coordination for communications,information management, and administrative activities while fostering effectiverelationships across the organisation. Your success will be measured by your ability to proactivelymanage competing demands, anticipate upcoming priorities, and ensure theGeneral Manager can focus on leading and delivering outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manageand triage communications on behalf of the General Manager Coordinateand maintain complex calendars, schedules, and future planning activities Research,investigate, analyse, and action issues as required Facilitateeffective communication both to and from the General Manager's office Developand maintain information management, filing, and retrieval systems Supportmeetings, seminars, board meetings, alliance groups, and other events Prepareagendas, minutes, reports, and correspondence Buildstrong relationships across teams to support collaborative outcomes Identifyopportunities to leverage technology and improve administrative processes About You You are a highly capable and adaptable professional whoenjoys working at a senior level and can confidently manage confidential andsensitive information. Essential Skills and Experience Provenexperience as a Personal Assistant supporting a senior leader or executive AdvancedMicrosoft Outlook and Word skills IntermediateExcel and PowerPoint capability Exceptionalorganisational and time management skills Strongcustomer service and relationship management abilities Experiencedminute taker with excellent attention to detail Abilityto accurately transcribe digital dictation Technologicallysavvy with confidence learning new systems and tools Strongwritten and verbal communication skills Abilityto manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy andprofessionalism Previousexperience within the health sector Qualificationin Business Administration or a related discipline Experienceusing project management software Shorthandskills Experiencewith Visio, rostering systems, and travel booking platforms Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
