Palmerston North Hospital, Permanent Full time About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Registered Nurse for the role of Charge Nurse – Urology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) working in Palmerston North Hospital Operating Theatres. This position is responsible for providing operational management along with clinical and professional nursing leadership of the Urology and O&G operating theatres. It is pivotal role in championing team culture, quality and systems safety and efficient theatre utilisation. While developing the nursing workforce. About You To apply for this role, you must have: Registered Nurse with 5+ years' experience Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate Completed or working towards master's Qualification Senior Nurse Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio Recognised by peers as a leader of nursing practice and staff Current Treaty of Waitangi and Cultural Responsiveness training We will be looking for: Operating theatre nursing experience Commitment to providing excellent care Strong accountability for resource and budget management Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues Excellent communication skills and a transformational leadership style For all aspects of this role and experience/knowledge required please see theposition description.
