Job Description
This is a full time role based in our Te Rapa office in Hamilton. Our staff work on a hybrid model, with three days in the office, and 2 days working from home, with some flexibility in working hours. Some weekend work is required on occasion. You will take complete ownership of the Senior and Youth draws, and manage a team of two staff who are responsible for all Junior and Futsal draws. You will report to the Chief Executive and work closely with other staff, New Zealand Football and Federations, as well as clubs, schools and referees across the region. What You Will Do Own Senior and Youth football draws from end to end Understand, maintain and communicate league regulations to clubs Manage results and the formal disputes process Lead and support a team of two Work directly with clubs (and sometimes schools), often balancing different views, to sort competition issues as they arise Keep national registration and reporting systems current Represent WaiBOP Football with clubs, referees, New Zealand Football and other Federations, especially Northern Region Football What You Will Bring Experience creating sporting draws is essential. Experience in football is preferred Strong analysis and decision making skills Process driven, with a structured approach to your work A solid grasp of league regulations, or the ability to pick them up fast Experience with Sporty (highly advantageous) About WaiBOP Football WaiBOP Football runs Football and Futsal across Waikato and Bay of Plenty. We work with close to 90 clubs and schools, across more than 100 leagues and 600 pitches, with over 10,000 matches played each year.
