Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity This role is based at RNZAF Ohakea in Manawatu and offers a great opportunity for someone interested in systems engineering, training systems and some hands-on work maintaining electrical and mechanical plant. A strong focus on health and safety is essential, along with the ability to work well in a client-facing role and deliver results in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an NZDF Defence Site Clearance or National Security Clearance and be willing to work occasional evening shifts to meet client requirements. We’re looking for someone who is process-oriented, understands contractual obligations and KPIs, and ideally has some experience or interest in aviation. A background in the military or training sectors, would be a plus. To be successful you’ll be: Experienced in performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems to deliver great results for clients. Experienced in developing and delivering technical or aircrew training. Focused on maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Comfortable working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions, breaking down complex technical information into simple, easy-to-understand terms. Passionate about understanding complex systems and delivering successful outcomes for clients. Capable of navigating technical domains and tailoring communication styles to effectively connect with diverse audiences.
