As a Retail Assistant , you’ll deliver a high‑quality café experience within Whanganui Hospital . You’ll provide excellent customer service, prepare and serve food and beverages, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment while ensuring all safety and food hygiene standards are met. This is a permanent position with guaranteed 9 hours per week. Provide warm, friendly, and professional customer service to all customers. Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately. Prepare and present food and beverages, including espresso coffee. Maintain a clean, organised, and well‑presented café and service area. Follow food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures at all times. Experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service environments. Confident handling cash and working with point‑of‑sale systems. A friendly, positive team player with strong communication skills. Reliable, hardworking, and physically fit for a hands‑on role. A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, hygiene, and quality service.
