Great employee benefits Mō tēnei mahi | About this job The Aukaha Ako – Takiwā Delivery is a key senior leadershiprole responsible for leading and overseeing educational delivery across a largetakiwā spanning Taranaki, Hawke's Bay and the lower North Island through to TeWaipounamu. Reporting to the Paemanu (Director) Ako Takiwā Delivery, you willprovide strategic and operational leadership that drives ako excellence, tauirasuccess, quality outcomes and sustainable growth across the region. Leading a team of educational leaders and working closelywith the Takiwā Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure teaching and learning,assessment, academic administration and quality assurance activities aredelivered consistently and effectively, while maintaining compliance withorganisational and regulatory requirements. Key areas of focus include: Strategicleadership: Developing and delivering regional educational plans thatalign with organisational priorities, support growth and achieve learnersuccess outcomes. Academicperformance and quality: Monitoring academic performance, retention,completion and graduation outcomes while leading continuous improvementinitiatives that enhance educational excellence. Educationaldelivery: Providing oversight of teaching, learning, assessment andacademic administration practices to ensure high-quality programmedelivery. Peopleleadership: Leading and developing educational leaders and kaimahi,fostering a high-performing culture grounded in Ngā Uara and Te KaupapaMatua. Innovationand improvement: Championing innovative projects, pilot programmes andinitiatives that strengthen educational delivery and future capability. Risk,compliance and reporting: Ensuring robust governance, compliance,reporting and risk management practices that protect the integrity andreputation of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. Regionalleadership: Contributing as a member of the Takiwā Leadership Team,providing leadership across wider operational, strategic andorganisational priorities. You are a highly experienced educational leader with apassion for learner success and a proven ability to deliver strategic andoperational outcomes across complex educational environments. You bring significant experience leading managers,developing high-performing teams and driving quality educational outcomesacross diverse locations. You are an influential relationship builder who workscollaboratively with colleagues, tauira, iwi, hapū, communities and externalstakeholders to achieve shared goals. To be successful, you will likely bring: AMaster's qualification in Education, Educational Leadership or a relatedfield. Atleast seven years' experience in a senior educational leadership role. Leadershipexperience within the tertiary education sector, including oversight ofteaching and learning delivery. Experienceleading large or geographically dispersed teams. Strongexperience in academic quality assurance, educational performancemonitoring, reporting and continuous improvement. Provenability to develop and implement strategic and operational plans. Stronganalytical and data-informed decision-making capability. Experiencemanaging organisational risk, compliance and performance outcomes. Excellentcommunication, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. Acommitment to coaching, mentoring and developing others. You will be comfortable working within Te Ao Māori andembracing the kaupapa, values and aspirations of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
