Fabricator Welders (Heavy) QJumpers Nelson City - Nelson Full Time Application Closes 20 Aug 2026 Nelson - Nelson City Assembler and Fabricator We are looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our team. Immediate start possible. This position is primarily workshop based but there will be off-site measure, fabrication and repairs. Nelson based. Provide general and marine engineering, welding and structural fabrication expertise in both in our Vickerman Street workshop and out on client sites. Use your skills, knowledge, and abilities to manage diverse on-the-job challenges, both individually and as part of a small team. You will be a role model who can be relied upon to support the team to keep things on track and deliver high-quality work. You will also be given the chance to contribute your ideas and have genuine input into improving the way things are done. About you You will be a trade qualified heavy fabricator, able to demonstrate top quality practical skills and abilities. Alternatively, you will be able to point to a minimum of 4 years or more professional level hands on experience. Other skills and experience include: Solid experience gained welding and fabricating in a range of engineering environments. Experience gained in a marine environment would also be extremely beneficial. Excellent knowledge of a range of welding methodologies- all position mig and arc welding. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Particular about how things are done, with a real drive to achieve high quality, precision outputs, you are motivated by a pride in your work and ownership of it.
