About the Role We're seeking aRegistered Nurse with strong communication and organisational skills, and acurrent Annual Practising Certificate from the New Zealand Nursing Council. Based in theMedical Progressive Care Unit at Christchurch Hospital, this role involvesdelivering patient-centred care, including assessment, treatment, and supportfor patients and their whānau. This role is a fixed-term position due tosecondment concluding on 27 th November 2026. The role is 0.6FTE(24hours per week). Keyresponsibilities include: Managing patient admissions and discharges Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Upholding cultural safety and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles Maintaining a safe environment through risk management and incidentreporting About theTeam/Service The MedicalProgressive Care Unit is a 14-bed service caring for adult patients withinGeneral Medicine, often with complex or multi-system conditions. You'll besupported by a Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist, with a strongfocus on both clinical excellence and ongoing professional development. About You 1+ years post-graduate experience You'll thrive in a fast-paced acute environment, bringing strongassessment, time management, and interpersonal skills. Confidence working both independently and as part of a team isessential, along with a flexible, solution-focused approach. You have a current Annual Practising Certificate from the NewZealand Nursing Council.
