Job Description
Our CARTERS Invercargill branch is on the hunt for a detail-focused Inventory Coordinator to become part of the team. You will report directly to the Branch Manager and take ownership of stock accuracy, making sure records are correct, minimum stock levels are kept up to date, and every process lines up with best practice and company standards. This is a hands-on role where precision and initiative aren't just nice-to-haves. They shape how the branch runs and how customers experience it. Placing orders with preferred suppliers, verifying prices, and keeping FINOPS records accurate Running regular stock checks, daily/monthly FINOPS reports, and participating in branch stocktakes Managing ongoing supplier relationships by resolving issues promptly, managing credit requests and keeping preferred supplier arrangements on track Checking of deliveries against packing slips and keeping the goods-in area well organised Following up outstanding purchase orders, confirmations and applying freight charges correctly Identifying hazards and helping maintain a safe working environment for staff, customers, and visitors Supporting the team and engaging with customers both in person and via inbound calls About you As well as yourcommitment to delivering exceptional customer service, you will have the following skills and qualities Inventory Management and/or purchasing experience is desirable Capable in navigating computer systems with a firm grasp of technology Values teamwork and approaches tasks with a positive mindset with a genuine customer first attitude Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Take pride in delivering accurate and efficient operations Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks in a busy branch environment Forklift licence and competency a bonus but no essential Advantages of Advancing Your Career with Carters Stability and a focus on work life balance, this role offers permanent full-time employment.
