Job Description
With more than 20 years in mortgage and insurance distribution, NZ Financial Services Group brings together the widest range of support services in the market. We are home to more than 1,000 members that offer home loan, insurance, and other financial services across New Zealand. NZ Financial Services Group was formed in 2013 when two of New Zealand’s leading financial services groups, Allied Kiwi and Loan Market, merged to create one of the largest financial services companies in the country. We are proudly a family owned, privately held business built on strong family values. About the role The Recruitment Specialist is a dedicated new business acquisition role. It exists to close the acquisition gap, bringing new firms and advisers into the network rather than managing existing relationships, and placing each recruit into the best-fit model - Member (flat fee), Partner (firms settling $50m plus), or Loan Market NZ. The role carries a concentrated recruitment-revenue KPI, designed to keep the role hunting rather than drifting into relationship management. Once a firm is contracted and onboarded, the relationship passes to a Relationship Manager. Key responsibilities New business acquisition Own the new firm and adviser acquisition process end to end: sourcing, qualification, and contracting through to signature. Build and work the banker-to-adviser pathway, and engage lateral firms moving from other aggregators. Place each recruit into the best-fit model for their business: Member (flat fee), Partner (firms settling $50m plus), or Loan Market NZ, coordinating with Loan Market NZ where the brand is the right destination. Introduce the Relationship Manager before contract close. Pipeline and talent network Operationalise and execute on the recruitment strategy for NZ. Create, build and maintain an ongoing relationship with key talent across the industry. Develop and grow a network of prospective new businesses. Manage the selection process to ensure new recruits are aligned to our vision and values. Onboarding and hand-off Complete a structured hand-off to the Relationship Manager within 14 to 30 days of contracting, and retain light-touch involvement through the firm’s first settlement. Work with the Sales Support and Adviser Onboarding Coordinator, who owns the administrative and coordination load of onboarding, so recruitment time stays on sourcing, qualifying, and closing. Team and business contribution Contribution to the operational and tactical implementation of organisational strategy for NZFSG; sharing insights on industry trends; collaborating with peers to solve business problems collectively. Build, engage and maintain strong working relationships with internal NZFSG stakeholders, and embrace and live by NZFSG’s core values. Performance focus The role is measured on a concentrated recruitment-revenue KPI so that accountability stays on net-new acquisition. Skills and experience Demonstrated new business acquisition or business development experience required. Diploma in Financial Services or equivalent preferred. Minimum 10 years in banking or financial services (unless Diploma or Degree held). Demonstrable commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Experience in the mortgage adviser industry is preferred. Resilience and ability to deal with uncertainty. Persistence and adaptability. Self-driven and ability to work autonomously. Enjoys engaging with others and collaborating. Enjoys being challenged and challenging others. Enjoys supporting others to grow. Desire to make a difference to others. Exceptional organisation and time management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
