About the Role We are seeking Registered Nurses who would like to work on acasual basis.We offer the opportunity to join our motivated and professional team inthe Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic. If you like variety in your day andwould enjoy working with an awesome team we are keen to hear from you. The role is casual and youwould need to be able to work a combination of 5 hour & 8 hour shiftsincluding weekends and night shifts within the roster. The ideal candidatewould be available for a minimum of 2 shifts/week due to needs in the clinic. About the Team/Service/ Location The Kenepuru Accident andMedical Clinic (KAMC) is a busy 24 hour Urgent Care Clinic situated at KenepuruHospital. We provide assessmentand management of injury or medical problems that are sudden, unexpected orunplanned, which are non-life or limb threatening, but which require urgentclinical care. KAMCprovides primary urgent after hours care and provides a supportive link betweencommunity primary health services and tertiary hospital services. KAMC sees approximately 36,000 patients per annum andserves the community and population of the Porirua basin. The team consists of UrgentCare Physicians and trainees, independent medical staff, local GPs, registerednurses, nurse practitioners and administrative staff. About you The ideal applicant would be: Enthusiastic dynamic and forward thinking. Have astrong patient care focus and able to deliver high quality of care for patientsand whānau Team player and have the ability to work independently Have previous experiencein: Urgent Care, Practice Nursing, Paediatric or Acute care settings. Have practical skills andknowledge in areas such as triage, wound care, plastering, cannulation andphlebotomy.
