About the Role As a Senior Test Analyst, you will operate at a delivery level within Digital Delivery, providing advanced quality assurance and testing expertise across complex digital initiatives. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and delivery teams to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies that ensure solutions are robust, secure, and fit for purpose. This role plays a key part in proactively identifying risks, improving testing practices, and ensuring high-quality digital outcomes aligned to organisational objectives. In addition to hands-on testing, you will mentor and support junior testers, uplift testing capability across teams, and promote strong quality assurance practices within a fast-paced, transforming digital environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases Execute functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing activities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks Analyse test results, identify defects, and support timely resolution Collaborate with developers, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes Mentor and support junior testers and promote best-practice testing approaches Manage and maintain test environments to support effective testing activities Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, tools, and standards Ensure testing aligns with organisational quality, security, and compliance requirements About You You are an experienced testing professional with a strong passion for quality and continuous improvement. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working across complex digital environments. You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and helping teams deliver their best work. You value equity, inclusion, and kaupapa Māori approaches, and understand the importance of high-quality digital systems in supporting frontline healthcare delivery. You will bring: 5+ years' experience in software testing, with strong automation capability Proven experience leading or contributing to complex testing initiatives Experience across a range of testing methodologies and SDLCs Strong hands-on experience with test automation and test management tools (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter) Knowledge of performance and security testing practices A relevant tertiary qualification (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar) ISTQB certification (preferred) Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills A demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equitable outcomes Working for Health New Zealand Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
