IT Infrastructure Engineer Design and support modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure Work with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and enterprise technologies Help shape the future of digital services for our community About the role We're looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a modern Microsoft cloud environment, supporting the design, delivery and continuous improvement of Council's cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring our technology platforms are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose while contributing to projects that improve the way Council delivers services to our community. Working as part of a collaborative infrastructure team, you'll provide expert technical advice, support critical systems, and help shape the future of our digital environment. Key responsibilities include: Designing, implementing, and supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Providing Level 3 support and acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues. Supporting identity, endpoint management, and cloud security technologies. Contributing technical expertise to infrastructure projects and solution design. Working with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable technology services. Identifying opportunities to modernise, automate and improve our IT infrastructure environments. About you We're looking for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with modern cloud technologies. You'll bring: Experience designing and supporting a wide range of Microsoft Cloud services including M365. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, identity, endpoint management, and enterprise security. Experience providing advanced technical support within a complex ICT environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly. A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement and learning. Ability to adapt, learn and implement new technologies.
