Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Syndicate leader English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts MITA if teaching in Reorua We are seeking a visible, organised, and future-focused leader who will work closely with the senior leadership team to guide and support a collaborative teaching team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence teaching and learning, grow leadership capability, and contribute meaningfully to the continued development of our kura. The successful applicant will: Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with a proven record of supporting learner progress and achievement. Build positive, mana-enhancing relationships with tamariki, colleagues, and whānau. Lead their team with warmth, integrity, consistency, and high expectations. Support, coach, and encourage kaiako through professional dialogue, observation, feedback, and shared inquiry. Demonstrate strong curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical knowledge. Use evidence and achievement information to identify priorities, guide planning, and monitor learner progress. Promote inclusive, culturally responsive, and engaging learning environments. Coordinate team systems, meetings, planning, communication, and day-to-day organisation effectively. Contribute confidently to wider school leadership, strategic priorities, and ongoing improvement. Communicate clearly, professionally, and openly, including when navigating complex situations. Bring energy, flexibility, creativity, and a genuine commitment to collaborative leadership. Experience in a bilingual or culturally responsive learning environment would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
