Hotel: Scenic Hotel Punakaiki Location: Punakaiki, West Copast Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends. Pay Rate: $26.50 - $28.00 per hour Join our kitchen team. As an integral part of the kitchen operation, you’ll work with fresh local ingredients, gain hands‑on experience, and be part of a supportive crew delivering quality dining experiences. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Assist in preparing, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes Ensuring that all food is served and stored at the correct temperature to meet hotel standards and kitchen guidelines. Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes. Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures. Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen tasks. Preferred Skills & Experience: 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role A certificate in Cookery preferred A current Food Handling Certificate Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
