IT Project Manager

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance. We are seeking a dynamic professional to drive project management for IT-related programs across our business. In this role, you will own and continuously improve our project management framework to ensure effective delivery, while leading and promoting its adoption across the organisation. You will ensure the project is on track and aligned with business goals by promoting and utilising relevant project management collateral. As the link between business needs and tech solutions, you will guide initiatives from discovery through to implementation, always focused on driving successful outcomes and continuous improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and help shape solutions that deliver value to the business. Acting as the bridge between business and technical teams, you will ensure requirements are understood, stakeholder expectations are managed, and solutions are effectively tested and validated before implementation. About you Our ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a drive for end-to-end project success and will bring the following qualities: At least 5 years relevant experience in an IT environment Experience with providing project management across IT solutions Understanding of complex business processes and is able to identify areas for improvement, including understanding data, interpreting trends, and making informed decisions Good understanding of technology and how it can be applied to solve business problems Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills While not essential, experience with the following would be desirable: Experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models Experience with Jira, or other program management tools Analysis and design experience across technical solutions What we offer We offer a number of benefits including giving you an extra day off a year to celebrate your birthday, discounted health insurance, free life insurance cover, fresh fruit at our offices and a number of wellbeing offerings.
