As a Catering Assistant , at one of our senior living sites CHT Karaka, Auckland, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality food service and maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents. This hands‑on role combines catering and cleaning duties to ensure comfort, safety, and exceptional service in a healthcare setting. This is a permanent position, with both Full Time and Part Time opportunities available. We offer positions of either 20 hours or 40 hours per week. Prepare, portion, and present meals while adhering to food safety standards. Provide warm, friendly customer service and respond promptly to resident needs. Maintain clean and hygienic dining, kitchen, and public areas, including waste handling. Assist with stock rotation and replenishment of supplies. Follow health, safety, and infection control procedures at all times. A team player with a flexible, positive attitude and strong work ethic. Physically fit, reliable, and able to work autonomously when required. Good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service. Previous experience in catering or cleaning is an advantage. Knowledge of food safety practices or NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) is desirable.
