Night Shift Pick Packers

We are looking for experienced storepersons to join our hard-working pick/pack team . Based in Mangere, night shift hours are 6pm to 3am, 5 x 9 hours shifts across our working week (Sunday to Friday. Actual shift days will be discussed at interview). Flexibility around working hours is required as we respond to changing business needs, ie: additional hours as required. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable (but not essential). We have three departments - Drystore (ambient temperature), Chiller and Freezer. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a history of reliability as this is key to the success of our business. This position requires individuals to be physically fit as there is frequent heavy lifting of up to 25kg. Preference will be given to applicants who have a desire to learn to operate and forklift and/or reach truck, but this is not essential. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Excellent written and spoken English and numerical skills The ability to work unsupervised Accuracy and speed with picking and packing orders Experience working a food distribution or similar warehouse environment NO Criminal convictions MUST provide 2 contactable work referees NZ permanent residency or citizenship required We offer: Stable employment and hours - minimum 45hours per week Staff buying privileges after 3 months of service Applicants must be able to provide references, agree to security checks and ACC pre employment checks as well as being able to pass a pre-employment drug test and a health check if working in the freezer.
