Manufacturing Operator

Are you physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoy hands-on work as part of a close-knit team? CARTERS Christchurch is looking for a motivated Manufacturing Operator to join our manufacturing team on day shift. In this physical role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality prenail frames and trusses to plan and delivery specifications for our valued building trade customers. You will operate computer guided machinery, measure and cut timber accurately using saws and build trusses and frames manually or using machinery to match technical drawings and cutting lists. All while working safely as part of a busy, team-based production line. About you Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable hammerhead skills is desirable as will be your ability to operate automated cutting machines, manual saws, nail guns and ability to interpret plans. You will be the perfect fit for this role if have following skills, qualities, and certifications: Experience in interpreting building technical drawings and specifications Background in frame and truss manufacturing is advantageous Hands-on knowledge working with power tools, hand tools, and nail guns Proficient in cutting materials, assembling, and fastening shaped parts Comfortable with computer operations Strong communication abilities Physically capable of manual labour, as the role involves handling materials Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Advantages of Advancing Your Career with Carters Stability and a focus on work life balance, this role offers permanent full-time employment.
