Vegetation Controller
Job Description
The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations. We are enabling Northland to contribute to the decarbonisation challenge by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.
\n\n\nAbout the role
\nAs a member of the Top Energy Vegetation Control team, you will assist with carrying out vegetation clearance work around power lines during regular scheduled maintenance, or fault response operations either supervised or unsupervised, as directed.
\nThis role reports to the Vegetation Supervisor and is based at the Puketona Depot.
\nAbout you
\nTo be successful in this role, you will be physically fit and hold a full clean driver's licence, an HT licence, a close working zone certificate, and have knowledge of the Codes of Practice for the maintenance of trees around power lines and power-operated elevating working platforms. A Class 4 driver's licence, basic knowledge of the Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003, and arborist, forestry and chainsaw use experience would be advantageous.

- Complete chargeable arborist works safely and efficiently \n
- Service machinery and safety equipment to ensure it remains fit for purpose \n
- Complete paperwork and return equipment as required to support accurate job invoicing \n
- Consistently meet, and wherever possible exceed, customer expectations \n
- Maintain high safety standards for equipment, the work environment, yourself and others \n
- Be available to work outside normal working hours for overtime or to assist with the operation of Top Energy's network \n
