The work is varied, ranging from solar and battery installations on homes through to larger energy solutions for businesses, farms, and remote properties. You’ll be involved in exciting projects that are helping improve energy efficiency, resilience, and independence throughout Hawke’s Bay. Your responsibilities will include: Installing solar PV and battery-storage systems Completing AC and DC electrical installation work Installing and connecting inverters, switchboards, protection equipment, monitoring, and communications Assisting with mechanical solar-panel and mounting-system installation Testing, commissioning, and certifying completed electrical work Maintaining and fault-finding new and existing solar systems Reading and following electrical drawings, system designs, and manufacturer instructions Working with designers, contractors, inspectors, and other members of the installation team Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to all relevant compliance standards Completing accurate job notes, photographs, timesheets, and electrical documentation Maintaining a clean and organised worksite, vehicle, tools, and equipment Communicating clearly with customers, coworkers, and the office team This is a practical, hands-on role suited to an electrician who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
