KLD - Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineer / Maintenance Fitter to assist with our sawmill and processing operations. You would report to the Engineering Team Leader and the primary objectives of the position are: Fabrication for new projects Breakdown maintenance Preventative maintenance Working on continuous improvement The role has a direct impact on our production levels and quality and therefore plays an important part in the overall success of the sawmill. Work hours: The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 10.00pm, Monday to Friday. It is expected that you will work 50 hours per week. Competitive Pay: Earn between $27.90 - $38.70 per hour, based on your skills and experience. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Ideally you will have: At least 2 - 5 years’ experience working in a mechanical fitting or mechanical maintenance role Production experience or heavy industrial experience is highly preferred An applicable trade certificate qualification and experience in wood industry environment with machinery would be advantageous. You’ll need to be physically fit, self-motivated, able to follow procedures, work autonomously and reliable. You will also have a strong focus on ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Sound comprehension skills will also be required. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
