Lead a trusted community organisation and make a real difference. Citizens Advice Bureau Hamilton & Hauraki is seeking an experienced and community-minded leader to join our organisation as Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who provide free, confidential information, advice and advocacy to people throughout our community. For more than 50 years, Citizens Advice Bureau Hamilton has been helping people understand their rights, navigate services and resolve everyday challenges. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to empowering people and strengthening our community. About the role Reporting to the Board, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Bureau and provide leadership to our volunteers and staff. Your responsibilities will include: Leading, supporting and developing volunteers and paid staff. Managing the daily operation of the Bureau. Supporting volunteers with complex client enquiries. Financial oversight, budgeting and assisting with funding applications. Preparing monthly Board reports and attending Board meetings. Building relationships with community organisations and stakeholders. Promoting Citizens Advice Bureau services throughout the community. Ensuring compliance with CABNZ standards and organisational requirements. About you You will bring: Previous leadership or management experience. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational and administration skills. Marketing, promotion or community engagement experience. Confidence using databases and Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff and community partners. A commitment to customer service and continuous learning. A genuine passion for helping people and contributing to your community. Experience in the not-for-profit or community sector would be an advantage but is not essential.
