The Role We are looking for a proactive IT individual to take on a newly created role! As an IT Support Analyst, you’ll be the first point of contact for technology issues at the plant, providing hands‑on support, resolving incidents, and keeping our on‑site systems running smoothly. This role is based at our Lorneville Plant in Invercargill, but you’ll work closely with the wider Technology team in Christchurch while maintaining autonomy day‑to‑day on site. Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests via phone, email, and in-person queries. Log, prioritise, and manage tickets through the IT service management system. Provide 1st and 2nd level support for hardware, software, network, and access issues. Build, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technology faults, escalating when required. Support on‑site equipment such as scanners, printers, handhelds, and production floor devices. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in line with company policies. Maintain asset records, perform hardware audits, and assist with patching and updates. Work with Infrastructure and Application teams to elevate issues and support project rollout. Build strong relationships across the site and communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users. About You You’ll bring practical IT skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and a proactive approach to supporting users and resolving technical issues. At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role Strong understanding of operating systems, M365, and common business applications Experience with device builds, deployments, imaging, and basic networking Confident troubleshooting a range of hardware and software issues Good awareness of security principles and cyber best practice Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong customer service focus and team‑oriented mindset Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical info clearly Positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn What’s in it for you?
