The Cancer Society Waikato/Bay of Plenty is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Fundraising Support Coordinator to join our Fundraising Team. The Cancer Society Waikato/Bay of Plenty is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Fundraising Support Coordinator to join our Fundraising Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of the Cancer Society's most recognised fundraising campaigns while helping support people affected by cancer across our region. About the Role This role provides vital support across a range of fundraising campaigns, events, partnerships, and community engagement activities. Working alongside a passionate and high-performing team, you'll help coordinate fundraising initiatives, support volunteers, engage with supporters, and ensure successful event delivery. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work across a wide variety of activities that directly contribute to raising funds and supporting our mission. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and delivery of Daffodil Day, Relay For Life, Carols in the Gardens, and other fundraising campaigns and events. Assist with schools, community, and corporate fundraising activities. Coordinate and support fundraising volunteers. Manage supporter communications and enquiries. Maintain fundraising databases and prepare reports. Assist with event logistics, registrations, communications, and administration. Prepare fundraising resources and promotional materials. Support post-event acknowledgements and stewardship activities. Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters, schools, community groups, businesses, and volunteers. Provide general administrative and operational support to the Fundraising Team. About You You are a confident, energetic, and highly organised individual who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to get stuck in. You will bring: Strong administration and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confidence with public speaking and presenting to groups. Confidence making outbound calls and engaging with supporters, schools, community groups, and businesses. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence building relationships with a wide range of people. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently. Initiative, drive, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude. Experience using Microsoft Office applications and databases or CRM systems. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. Experience in fundraising, events, administration, customer service, volunteer coordination, community engagement, or relationship management would be highly regarded. Essential Requirements Full New Zealand Driver Licence. Ability to travel within the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region as required. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
