Job Description
The Club Operations Manager is a key leadership position and the operational driver of Pāpāmoa Football Club. This role ensures the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organisation, supports staff and volunteers, and delivers high-quality football experiences across all age groups. Working closely with the Board, club staff, and community partners, the Club Operations Manager ensures the club remains community-focused and future-ready while fostering a welcoming, positive, and inclusive club culture. Key responsibilities Execute the club's football strategic plan, translating goals into measurable actions and driving growth initiatives Grow, recruit, retain, and support coaches, managers, and volunteers across all levels Coordinate Board sub-committees (Minimoa, junior, youth, senior) ensuring alignment with club objectives Act as primary point of contact for football complaints and disputes, ensuring a responsive environment Manage weekly fixtures, regrading, results, cancellations, ground changes, and training/match allocations Coordinate weekly club training schedules, pitch allocations, and equipment availability across all grades Coordinate regional team entries, player registrations, team catalogues, dispensations, and national database management Coordinate matchday setup/packdown, gear allocation, and ensure all club gear is returned to its specific place effectively Build strategic partnerships with local clubs, schools, Council, and sports bodies Oversee marketing, social media content creation, newsletter distribution, and consistent professional branding About you Operational/management experience within a sports environment (not-for-profit experience preferable, but not a requirement) Strong leadership, organisation, and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Collaborative approach with diverse stakeholders Problem-solving skills, resilience, and inclusivity focus Working knowledge of governance, health & safety, and compliance requirements Proficiency with standard computer systems (including Gmail), with an ability to learn new systems quickly Desirable: Holding an NZF Junior Level 3 (JL3) and C Licence (or higher) Desirable: Football environment knowledge and experience Some experience in facility or event management (sports sector preferred) would be helpful #J-18808-Ljbffr
