Job Description

Our Aquatics team plays an important role in delivering safe, welcoming spaces and high-quality programmes for our community. We are looking for Learn to Swim Instructors with a passion for inclusive practice to join our team. This role has a focus on supporting neurodiverse children of all ages and abilities, helping them gain confidence in the water and develop essential life skills. About the role In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality learn to swim lessons tailored to individual needs Provide a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment Adapt teaching approaches to support a range of abilities, communication styles and sensory needs Build positive relationships with participants, whānau and colleagues Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times As an instructor, you'll teach children and adults how to stay safe and enjoy themselves in the water - building confidence, skills, and a lifelong love for swimming. For Learn to Swim instructor, you must pick up a minimum of 10 hours a week. We are seeking instructors who can work a few of the following shifts: Monday 3:15pm-6:00pm Wednesday 3:15pm-6:00pm Thursday 3:15pm-6:00pm Saturday 7.45am-12.15pm Sunday 7.45am-12.15pm Sunday 12.45pm-4.15pm We're proud to foster a workplace that reflects the diversity of the community we serve and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
