About the role As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'llsupport the delivery of people initiatives and provide practical guidance tomanagers and employees across the employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Providingpractical HR advice to managers and employees while interpreting andapplying New Zealand employment legislation, company policies andemployment agreements. Preparingemployment agreements, contract variations and other employmentdocumentation. Coordinationand support of key employee lifecycle activities including onboarding,parental leave, employee changes, performance processes and employeeexits. Maintainingaccurate employee records, HR systems and reporting to ensure dataintegrity and compliance. Coordinatinglearning and development activities and supporting remuneration and otherPeople & Culture initiatives. Identifyingopportunities to improve processes and systems and escalating more complexemployee relations matters, oremployment risks where appropriate. About you You'll already have experience in a structured HRenvironment, ideally within a medium to large organisation and are confidentsupporting managers with day-to-day people matters. You'll also bring: Demonstratedexperience providing first-level HR advice to managers and employees. Asound understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and employmentrelations principles. Experiencesupporting the employee lifecycle, including employment documentation,onboarding, leave management, performance processes and employee exits. Strongwritten and verbal communication skills with excellent attention todetail. Well-developedorganisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experienceusing HRIS systems and Microsoft 365. Aproactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and aninterest in new technologies, including AI. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Enjoybuilding trusted relationships with managers and employees. Areconfident interpreting employment legislation and applying policies inpractical workplace situations. Canbalance exceptional customer service with compliance and risk management. Enjoyworking independently while collaborating closely with a supportive team. Takepride in producing high-quality, accurate work. Havestrong written communication skills and can communicate confidently at alllevels. Arenaturally curious and enjoy identifying opportunities to improve systemsand processes. It would be an advantage if you have experience in: Manufacturing,warehousing or FMCG environments. Supportingunionised workforces. AccreditedEmployer Work Visa (AEWV) processes. Performancemanagement, investigations or disciplinary processes, or an interest indeveloping in this area.
