Community Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator (Part-Time, 0.6–0.7 FTE) We are seeking a motivated and community-focused Community Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator to join our fundraising team. This role supports individuals, schools, clubs, and community groups to successfully plan and deliver their own fundraising activities that make a real difference for hospice care in our region. You will play a key role in building strong community relationships, supporting fundraising participation, and helping ensure community-led activity is well supported and well connected to our wider fundraising efforts. In addition, you will support small-scale internal and supporter engagement events that recognise and thank the people who contribute to our work. This is a highly people-focused role that combines relationship building, coordination, and community engagement. What you’ll bring: Experience in community engagement, coordination, fundraising, or similar roles Strong relationship-building and communication skills Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities A practical, proactive approach to supporting community activity Confidence engaging with community groups and speaking at events Willingness and ability to regularly work evenings and weekends to attend community fundraising and engagement activities. Confidence working with a wide range of community groups and volunteers What we offer: Part-time role 0.6–0.7 FTE / approx. 22–28 hours per week Flexible working hours within the week. This is a community-facing role that requires regular evening and weekend work, as this is when many community fundraising and engagement activities take place. Flexibility around working hours is essential, with after-hours commitments planned in advance wherever possible and hours balanced across the working week. Onsite role in Palmerston North A supportive and purpose-driven environment where your work directly contributes to hospice care in our community The Community Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in strengthening connections between the hospice and our wider community. You will support individuals and groups to bring their fundraising ideas to life, provide guidance and encouragement, and help ensure their experience of supporting hospice is positive, well-organised, and meaningful. This community-facing role requires regular evening and weekend work, as this is when many fundraising and engagement activities take place. Hours will be balanced across the working week wherever possible.
