Animal Control Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a commitment and passion in animal control, welfare and enforcement. You will be responsible for all animal control functions and ensure they are carried out as per the provisions of the Dog Control Act 1996 and the Impounding Act 1955. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively in a collaborative and constructive manner in order to achieve co-operation and compliance. You will also have the ability to think on your feet and resolve situations when they arise. Commitment to providing excellent customer service and the ability to work effectively on your own and within a team are a must. An affinity with animals is important, along with the resilience to work through situations that can be confronting or emotionally difficult.
