You’ll join a collaborative, cross‑market AU/NZ team working on responsive, accessible, scalable applications that reach thousands of customers every day. This is an onsite position. About the Role As a key member of our Web Development team, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional front‑end experiences across our NZ websites. You’ll work closely with designers, back‑end developers, product teams, and the Web Development Team Lead to bring intuitive, engaging interfaces to life. This is a full time position, working 40 hours a week, 80 a fortnight based at the Chemist Warehouse Support Office in Grey Lynn, Auckland. This role is hands‑on, delivery‑focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys both craftsmanship and collaboration. What You'll Be Doing UI/UX implementation — Translate designs into polished, accessible, responsive interfaces aligned with WCAG standards. API integration — Connect front‑end components with REST and GraphQL services. Code quality — Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews. Agile delivery — Work within Agile frameworks to deliver features, enhancements, and continuous improvements. Cross-team collaboration — Partner with AU/NZ developers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders. Continuous improvement — Stay current with emerging front‑end technologies and contribute to evolving standards. What You'll Bring Front-End Experience Proven experience as a Front-End Developer in a modern web environment. Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation. Technical Skills Current Stack (Old World): HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS ASP.NET MVC / Razor Experience with Kentico CMS (a bonus) REST API integration Familiarity with Microsoft environments Future Stack (New World): React, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS GCP CloudRun, serverless architectures, microservices Redux / Context API, component-based architecture REST & GraphQL Automated testing (Jest, xUnit, React Testing Library) Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), Git/GitHub workflows Nice to Have Experience with e-commerce platforms Understanding of SEO, CRO, and performance optimisation principles Who You Are A strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly Collaborative, approachable, and great to work with Proactive, solutions‑focused, and comfortable shaping local practices Someone who values ownership, quality, and continuous improvement A contributor to a positive, inclusive, respectful team culture The successful applicant will be required to meet a satisfactory National Criminal History Check outcome. #J-18808-Ljbffr
