This is a fixed term position to support the vetting project within the People Support Team. Build on your HR Coordination experience in a fast paced and fun environment. Help us support the team at Fire and Emergency New Zealand. MŌ ū tūrąg - about the role As part of a small tight knit, the Coordinator People Support is responsible for providing high quality HR coordination for Fire and Emergency New Zealand. On a day-to-day basis you will: Work collaboratively within the team to support the delivery of core HR work Gain experience across the full range of HR including supporting our recognition and reward programmes, onboarding, change management, and ad hoc HR projects Manage a shared inbox, along with triaging and responding in a timely manner Gain valuable experience and development in a large and complex crown entity What you’ll bring to the role: Use your foundational knowledge of HR, eye for detail, and initiative to make a real difference in our team and wider organisation. We are looking for a flexible and detail-oriented individual to work in a faced paced team with a focus on continuous improvement. You will have experience in high volume administrative or coordination work. It would be essential to have previous exposure to HR principals. To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will: Experience working in a high-volume coordination position Experience in HR principles and legislation A curious and adaptable mindset to learn and grow Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills A focus and drive to succeed This is fixed-term position from Sep 2026 - Dec 2026.
