Our dedicated volunteers play a vital role in helping us provide these services free of charge to the community. Volunteer Kitchen Assistant - Palmerston North Are you looking for a practical and rewarding way to support your local hospice? Arohanui Hospice is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our Kitchen Team on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm . This important behind-the-scenes role helps ensure our patients, families, and visitors receive the highest standard of care and hospitality. Tasks include dishwashing, cleaning, vegetable preparation, and general kitchen support. On Tuesdays, volunteers assist with the preparation of lunch meals for our day-stay attendees. No cooking experience or direct patient contact is required. You will work alongside and under the guidance of our Kitchen Manager, with full training and ongoing support provided. Volunteers with an understanding of food hygiene are welcomed, although a willingness to learn is equally important. We're looking for people who are reliable, happy to follow instructions, comfortable working within a hospice environment, and willing to undergo a Ministry of Justice check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
