Consultant Psychiatrist - Home Based Treatment

\nYou will build and maintain strong working relationships and experience the full spectrum of psychiatry from enduring mental illness to trauma, grief, and acute distress
\nYou will be part of a supportive, caring, close knit team where no two days are the same
\nPermanent, Full Time 44 hours / week
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Providing clinical services \n
- Applying psychiatric expertise to ensure current knowledge, skills and attitudes inform clinical decision making \n
- Participating in clinical partnership to ensure client and family members receive integrated, effective, and efficient assessment and care \n
About the Team and Service
\nYou will be a member of the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of the organisation's Home Based Treatment (HBT) operates within the Crisis Assessment and Home Treatment (CAHT) team
\nCrisis Team:
\n- \n
- Provides support to service users experiencing acute crisis in the community \n
- Responsible for assessment and short term care \n
- Experts in acute care management \n
- Operates 24/7 \n
Home Based Treatment (HBT):
\n- \n
- Offers an alternative to hospital admission \n
- Operates 8 am till 8pm, 7 days / week \n
- Provides a comprehensive, intensive package of intervention for up to 3 weeks \n
- Multidisciplinary and focused on supporting service users in the least restrictive environment \n
If hospital admission is being considered, HBT is encouraged as the first option wherever appropriate
\nAbout You
\nTo be considered, you will bring:

- Vocational registration in Psychiatry (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of New Zealand \n
