About the Role As a Casual Health Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, high quality patient care within our Operating Theatre team. Working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will provide clinical, technical, and administrative support, helping to ensure patients receive a positive and comfortable experience throughout their care journey. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a team environment. No two days are the same, and you will contribute to a variety of patient care activities, assist with maintaining clinical environments and equipment, and help support the smooth day to day operation of the service. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Operating Theatre team is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients across Hawke's Bay. About you As a Health Care Assistant, you will bring: A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Health Assistance, be currently enrolled, or be willing to commence study within 12 months of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful approach to patient care. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills and a commitment to patient safety and quality care. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous improvement.
