Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Urologist with strong endourology capability and proven expertise in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) to join our dedicated team.

This is a permanent full time role

In this role, you will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive urology care across both outpatient and inpatient settings. This includes diagnostic assessment, operative and procedural management, and ongoing follow-up care. There is also scope to contribute to service development, support teaching and supervision, and take on clinical leadership responsibilities within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Provide elective and acute urology services across the district
\n Collaborate with surgical, oncology, and renal teams
\n Participate in on-call roster and multidisciplinary meetings
\n Support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training
\n Engage in continuous quality improvement and innovation

About you

\n

The successful applicant will:

  • Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Urology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • \n
  • Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent
  • \n
  • Have proven experience in general urology with substantial experience in HoLEP and ability to independently perform HoLEP procedures
  • \n
  • Be commited to equity, patient safety, and collaborative care
  • \n
