Campus Maintenance Officer

Whitireia and WelTec are seeking a practical, hands-onCampus Maintenance Officer to help keep our campuses and facilities inexcellent condition. This role supports our sites in Porirua and Petone. As part of our Facilities team, you'll play a key role inmaintaining safe, functional, and welcoming environments for our students,staff, and visitors. No two days are the same – you'll use your broadmaintenance knowledge and problem-solving skills to carry out a wide variety ofbuilding and grounds upkeep tasks. About the Role We are looking for someone with strong practical skills whoenjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering quality work. You willbe responsible for undertaking a range of general maintenance activities,identifying issues before they become problems, and contributing to the smoothday-to-day operation of our campuses. Working closely with the Facilities Manager – Buildings, youwill: Carry out a variety ofgeneral building maintenance and repairs Respond to maintenancerequests in a timely and professional manner Assist with the upkeepof campus facilities and grounds Identify and reportmaintenance issues and improvement opportunities Ensure all work iscompleted safely and in line with health and safety requirements Contribute positively toa customer-focused and collaborative team environment About You To be successful in this role, you will: Have experience ingeneral building maintenance, facilities support, or a related trade Be practical,self-motivated, and able to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks Have strongproblem-solving and organisational skills Take pride in deliveringhigh-quality work Be committed tomaintaining a safe work environment Have a professional,reliable, and positive attitude This is a Monday to Friday position offering regular hoursand the opportunity to work across vibrant educational campuses.
