About the Role As a Payroll Controller, you will play a vital role inensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. Working within theSouthern payroll team and as part of Health New Zealand's national payrollservice, you will provide specialist payroll expertise, manage complex payrollprocesses, and support compliance with legislation, collective agreements, andorganisational policies. You will be responsible for maintaining strong payrollcontrols, resolving complex payroll matters, identifying opportunities forcontinuous improvement, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver ahigh-quality payroll service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payrollprofessional who enjoys solving problems, driving excellence, and contributingto a consistent and reliable payroll experience for our workforce. This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours perfortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday;between the hours of 7.00AM to4.30PM. The role is employed under Nelson Hospital, however, will be based atthe Richmond Health Hub. Please view the position description for furtherinformation. PD currently under review. For more information on living and working in Nelson /Tasman click here About you As an experienced payroll professional, you will bring: Proven payroll experience in a large and complex organisation; Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, employmentagreements, and payroll compliance requirements; Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex payrollmatters; Strong attention todetail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work; Exceptional communicationand stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach.
